Biography
Matt completed medical school in Cambridge before working in the East of England and East Midlands. During specialist renal medicine training in Leicester he undertook his MD on proteinuria in pregnancy and was appointed as a consultant nephrologist in Nottingham in 2010. He has sub-specialist interests in anaemia and renal-genetics, as well as renal obstetrics.
Matt founded the national Pregnancy and Kidney Disease Rare Disease Group with Prof Lightstone in 2012 and acted as lead since 2014. He is a co-author of the UKKA Guidelines on Pregnancy and Kidney Disease, editor of Renal Disease in Pregnancy and multidisciplinary team lead for renal medicine for the East Midlands Maternal Medicine Network.
