Biography
Dr Mandeep Ghuman completed his undergraduate dental training at the Royal London Hospital with an intercalated BSc gained from King’s College London. He completed an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship leading to the award of a PhD investigating inhibition of bone formation by cells of the periodontium.
He subsequently completed periodontal specialist training at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust under a NIHR Clinical Lectureship allowing him to also carry out post-doctoral research to develop his interests in periodontal stem cell biology. He was made a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2013. Currently he is actively involved in research, teaching of dental undergraduate and postgraduate students, and clinical service.
