Biography

Lizzie Ellen is the Senior Communications Manager for the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences, King's College London. In this role she manages public engagement and communications activities across the faculty and its five constituent departments.

Prior to this, she held Communications Officer roles in the Policy Institute, King's College London, and at the University of Sheffield. Before working in Higher Education, Lizzie worked for Paul Blomfield MP.

Lizzie holds an MA in Modern Languages and a PGCE in French and Spanish both from the University of Oxford.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Faculty Communications Team
  • Developing and leading on the faculty's communications strategy
  • Managing web content across the faculty
  • Overseeing the faculty's social media channels
  • PR and media management for the faculty
  • Overseeing internal communications and providing strategic support to faculty senior leaders on students and staff messaging
  • Supporting events and public engagement activities

The Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences is based in the heart of London with a long tradition of world-leading research and teaching in physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science and engineering. With nearly 5,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and around 350 academic and research staff, our ambition is to inspire, educate and innovate - fostering the next generation of scientists and future leaders.
