Biography
Laura is a research psychologist in the behavioural science team within the Cancer Prevention group. She completed her PhD on HPV vaccine acceptability in 2009 and went on to be awarded a Cancer Research UK Post-doctoral Fellowship to explore barriers and facilitators to screening and symptom presentation among ethnic minority women (2010-2014). Laura now works with Dr Jo Waller using behavioural science to maximise the impact of cervical cancer control policies. Laura has a particular interest in ethnic inequalities and has also worked on understanding cancer fear, fatalism and stigma.
