Biography

Katrin has a MA in Politics, English Literature and Language and Modern History from the Wilhelms University in Muenster, Germany. She wrote her dissertation about the significance of water supply and access rights for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Before coming to King's, Katrin organised and managed a festival for music and literature in Germany for 5 years. She has also worked as an editor’s assistant for a publishing house and a research assistant. Katrin worked at the Arts and Humanities Data Service (AHDS) from 2006 to March 2008 when the Centre for e-Research (CeRch) was established, she was Department Manager for CeRch until December 2011 before joining the Arts & Humanities Faculty Office as Business Manager in January 2012. She has been working for the Faculty as the External Relations Manager since 2014.

Katrin took up her current role in March 2017.

 

Responsibilities

  • Leading on Research support delivery in the Faculty
  • Operational Lead for the Arts & Humanities Research Institute
  • Leading on the Faculty's External Engagement Strategy and its response to the College's London and Service agenda
  • Developing and managing a Faculty-wide Fundraising and Supporter development strategy in conjunction with the Directorate of Fundraising and Supporter Development
  • Developing and managing the Faculty-wide Internationalization strategy in conjunction with the Vice Dean for External Relations
