NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer

Biography

After graduating from the University of Bristol in 2011 (MBChB), I completed Foundation and Core Surgical Training in Severn Deanery before starting Vascular Surgery specialist training in the East Midlands in 2016. I was awarded my MD from the University of Leicester in 2022 with a project investigating the associations and impact of frailty and cognitive impairment in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischaemia (CLTI), the end-stage of peripheral artery disease (PAD). I have continued these research themes during my Clinical Lectureship with projects investigating the pathophysiology and epidemiology of cognitive impairment in PAD, frailty trajectories and mortality risk prediction in CLTI as well as developing Core Outcome Sets for PAD trials.
