Jessie studied at the Victoria University of Wellington. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Criminology.

Prior to moving to London, Jessie worked for Health New Zealand as an HR Advisor. More recently she had a short stint at Imperial College London, and Signature Recruitment.
