Biography
I'm a health psychologist specialising in the design and testing of interventions to improve adherence to treatment and lifestyle change. I have 20 years of experience, researching adherence and have held senior positions in commercial and academic institutions. I am currently a Visiting Senior Lecturer with CARE and Associate Director Behavioural Science at IQVIA. I was Lead Researcher on a NIHR Programme Grant investigating adherence to photoprotection in a very rare skin condition, Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP). I have a special interest in developing interventions to support people with rare diseases and have designed theory-based adherence interventions across a diverse range of conditions. These include cardiac diseases, Psoriasis, Alzheimer's disease, Allergic Rhinitis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am passionate about the implementation of effective behaviour change interventions into routine clinical care. Other research interests include psychoneuroimmunology and stigma related to visible difference.
