Biography
Dr James Dalby is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics at King’s College London. James received his Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Bath in 2019, where he was also the recipient of the David Powell Prize for Applied Mathematics. He then went on to complete his PhD at the University of Strathclyde between 2019-2023, which focused on the mathematics and modelling of liquid crystals. After submitting his thesis, he completed a 12-month post-doc (funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) at Strathclyde, before moving to King’s in October 2023.
