Biography

James has worked in senior leadership positions within higher education administration for over fifteen years, including five years as Associate Director, Education (ADE) in SSPP and more recently as the Deputy Director or Operations. Prior to joining King’s in January 2019, James was Head of Registry at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where he was responsible for administration of the student lifecycle from admissions through to graduation.

Responsibilities

As Director of Operations, James is responsible for leading the faculty’s professional services staff and the operational delivery of services in support of the faculty’s mission. Alongside the Executive Dean and Vice-Deans, James leads on the development and implementation of the faculty’s academic and operational strategy and business plans, oversees faculty operational delivery, planning and resource management, and has responsibility for the development and delivery of high-quality, high value professional services support teams.

James’ focus is to further the faculty’s academic strategy, improve service quality, manage costs and invest strategically, and to empower and retain our best people.
