Biography
Irene joined the Department of Political Economy as a PhD researcher in 2022. Her research focuses on the politic consequences of austerity measures. Particularly, her current project investigates how the Eurozone and the COVID-19 crises affected public opinion.
Irene received the 1 + 3 Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) studentship award. She holds a BSc in Politics (2017-2020) and an MA in Political Economy (2020-2021) from King's. Between her master’s and her PhD, she worked in the communication department of the European Central Bank.
