Biography
Iman Amro is a PhD student in the Care for Long-Term Conditions Research Division at King’s College London, where she began her studies in October 2024. She holds a BSc in General Nursing from Ibn Sina College and an MSc in International Public Health Nutrition from the University of Westminster, London.
With over 10 years of experience in health research, particularly in mental health studies, Iman brings a wealth of clinical and research expertise to her work. As a research assistant at Qatar University, she has been involved in many studies across the fields, particularly evaluating mental health outcomes. Her work included the development and evaluation of research instruments and scales and adapting them for cultural relevance in local Qatari settings, both for clinical and non-clinical health research.
At Kings College London, Iman’s research is aiming at quality of life improvement for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities in Qatar. She is dedicated to bridging gaps in healthcare practices by using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to promote patient- and family-centered care. .Iman actively participates in academic and professional research communities, presenting her work at conferences and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. She actively contributes to the dissemination of knowledge through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
