Biography

Holly Pearce is a research technician in the Department of Physics. Her background is in materials science and engineering, receiving her master's from the University of Sheffield. Her experimental-based PhD investigated piezoelectric materials at the University of Bath for energy harvesting applications.

Currently, a technician services rep for physics on the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. She is passionate about making physics research an accessible and welcoming space for all at King's.

Duties: 

  • Provides training and maintenance of equipment in the Strand Research Facility.
  • Experimental support/guidance for internal and external researchers and clients.
  • General overseeing of lab functionality, health and safety, and good practice.
  • First aid and fire marshal trained.
