Biography
Dr Haseeb Rahman is an NIHR funded Academic Clinical Lecturer in the Cardiovascular Sciences Section, School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences. Dr Rahman received his BA undergraduate degree in medical sciences from Cambridge University in 2007 and received his medical degree from Oxford University in 2010. He completed his core training in North London and commenced a cardiology NTN in North West London in 2014. In 2016, he was awarded a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship to investigate the mechanisms behind coronary microvascular dysfunction. He was awarded a PhD in 2019 and the work has been published in Circulation and JACC journals. He won the British Cardiovascular Interventional Society Young Investigator Award in 2018 and was a finalist at the European Society of Cardiology and American Heart Association Young Investigator Award competitions. Following this, he has completed two years as an interventional fellow in North West London and has subsequently been appointed as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer at St Thomas’ Hospital and KCL. He continues work in the field of coronary microvascular dysfunction and coronary physiology.
