Haruka joined the ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health in January 2024 as a Research Assistant for the Bridging Divides Project, focusing on examining gender inequalities in adolescents' mental health issues.

She completed her BSc in Business Management at King’s College London in 2019 and her MSc in Global Mental Health at the LSHTM and King’s College London in 2023. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at UCL, investigating the causal links between policies and suicide/mental health.
