Guy Thomson is the Head of Computing Operations in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences (NMES), King’s College London.

In this role he provides technical and management leadership of a multidisciplinary computing operations team spanning infrastructure, web development and end-user support to deliver:

• computing support across teaching and research portfolios
• in-house applications, integral to faculty education, research, and operations functions
• on-prem and cloud infrastructure to support teaching and research

Guy has worked in finance for 17 years and previously managed IT for the Systems Trading division of a world-renowned hedge fund. He holds an MSc in High Performance Parallel Computing and Computation, and a BSc Hons Applied Mathematics with Computing from the University of Warwick.
