Biography
Flo Austin is the School Education Manager for the School of Global Affairs. She manages the School’s education functions and leads the School Education Team. She oversees the delivery of education support services for all students and academic staff, across each stage of the student life cycle, within the School of Global Affairs.
Flo contributes to, and provides support for, the School’s strategic planning, education policy and programme development, providing oversight of the School’s education portfolio of taught and research programmes.
She is responsible for:
- managing the Education team (eg induction, performance-monitoring, leave records and training)
- working with the Faculty Education Manager and other School Education Managers across the Faculty
- leading on education projects for the School (eg Portfolio Simplification and Curriculum Flex)
- attending the School Managers’ team meeting and School/Faculty-wide committees
