Biography
Elzbieta received her BSc from the Silesian University and her MSc. and PhD from University of Duisburg-Essen. Her background spans physical chemistry, synthesis of rational designed functionalized metal colloids and localization of biomarkers in tissues and cells employing in-situ optical imaging approaches. For her PhD she demonstrated the multiplexing potential of SERS with 6-color immuno-SERS microscopy on the same single cancer cell. She is currently employed as a postdoctoral research associate in the label-free bioimaging laboratory at King’s College London, working on the development of biomedical optical systems for a variety of clinical applications.
