Don supports the day-to-day operations of the Department of Engineering, including finance, facilities, space, HR, recruitment and room-bookings, with responsibility for:

• Departmental purchasing and procurement
• Monitoring departmental finances for Engineering
• Ad-hoc room bookings for departmental & centrally timetabled rooms
• Arrangements for visitors
• Keeping the departmental databases and website up-to-date
• Recruitment of research associates and assisting the Business Operations Manager with other HR duties.
• Organises meetings on behalf of the Head of Department
• Supports the Business Operations Manager in managing departmental space and facilities
