DJ and philanthropist
Biography
Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, is a DJ, philanthropist and advocate. Originally from Nigeria, her influence spans continents.
Cuppy has DJ’d on many of the world’s biggest stages, from Cannes Film Festival to Glastonbury. She has also performed for renowned brands like Bloomberg and Bvlgari. An accomplished music artist, Cuppy has collaborated with the likes of Darko, Wyclef Jean, and Zlatan Ibile. She is best-known for her genre-defying tracks such as ‘Gelato’ and ‘Green Light’, which have made her a staple in the global music scene.
Inspired by her time at King’s, Cuppy founded her own charity in 2018. The Cuppy Foundation provides quality education for children and young people across Africa. The charity has raised over $17 million to support displaced children in Nigeria, as well as launching the Cuppy Fund to support African students facing hardship at King’s in 2025.
Cuppy has a long-standing commitment to supporting young people. In 2023, Cuppy became the first-ever international ambassador for His Majesty King Charles III’s The King’s Trust, where she advocates for youth empowerment and social equity.
Cuppy moderated the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 2024, focusing on sustainable development and youth leadership. During UNGA week Cuppy DJ'd the opening for Goals House and spoke in Central Park for Global Citizens annual festival.
Whether she is performing for global audiences or championing causes close to her heart, Cuppy continues to break boundaries and pave the way for social change. These are traits she shares with members of King’s alumni community across the world.
