Dr Dan Youkee
Clinical Research Fellow in Stroke
Biography
Dr Dan Youkee is an emergency medicine doctor who has lived and worked in Sierra Leone since 2014. He is a MRC clinical research training fellow, undertaking a PhD on the impact of stroke in Sierra Leone. His interests are in emergency medicine, epidemiology and outbreak response. Dan is a co-investigator on the Stroke in Sierra Leone, NIHR-funded research programme.
Dan was the technical advisor to the Case Management Pillar of the National COVID-19 Response Centre in Sierra Leone, and Ebola Holding Units Coordinator during the 2013-2016 West African Ebola outbreak. Dan was previously the Country Director for the King’s Global Health Partnerships in Sierra Leone.
