Biography

Christopher Hazlehurst joined King’s Business School in 2021 as a Teaching Fellow in Innovation Management and Strategy and became a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in 2022. His research interests include the adoption and use of digital communication technologies in strategic management and internationalisation of businesses. Through his research Christopher explores how modern technologies can change the way in which firms engage in strategic planning and how it can impact their business performance. He is also currently an investigator in the ESRC-funded project ‘Automation, Skills and Institutions in Knowledge-Intensive Business Services’.

Christopher completed his PhD in Strategic Management at King’s in 2022. Christopher teaches Strategic Management in the undergraduate and KBS+ programmes. He is also the leader of the Business Project module for Business Management BSc and International Management BSc. Since 2018 he has also been teaching on the Business Programmes Summer Courses at both undergraduate and pre-university level.

He completed an MSc in International Fashion Management with distinction at the London College of Fashion (University of the Arts London) in 2016. He achieved Associate Fellowship at the HEA in 2020. Christopher also obtained a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Charted Management Institute.

Previously Christopher worked as an Associate Lecturer for Research Methods and MA Dissertation Supervisor at London College of Fashion. His previous industry experience includes roles at House of Fraser, Boxpark and van Laack.
