Biography
Christopher Elliott is a Canadian-Australian PhD researcher at King’s College London. Prior to King’s, he completed a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Anthropology at the Australian National University.
His research focuses on evolutionary and ecological perspectives in anthropology, political violence in the Islamic world and the microsociology of war crimes.
Chris previously served in the Australian Army in infantry roles.
He has also worked as a freelance journalist and commentator and his longform writing has been nominated for a National Magazine Award. His media bylines include ABC News, Sydney Morning Herald, Foreign Policy and the Griffith Review, among others.
