Dr Cecilia Rossiter

Research Development Manager, Research Strategy & Development

Biography

Dr Cecilia Rossiter is one of the Research Development Managers for the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences at King's College London, primarily supporting academic colleagues in the departments of Engineering and Informatics.

She provides support to individuals and teams developing strategic research grant applications, from the initial idea all the way through to submission. Cecilia has joined King’s in August 2021. Prior to this, she spent 9 years in similar roles at the University of Southampton.

Cecilia holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Essex.

Responsibilities

  • Work with individuals and teams to develop grant applications.
  • Advise on the process of putting an application together and help link academics from different parts of the university.
  • Liaise with other PS colleagues in the Faculty and College to bring in their expertise as required.
  • Work in partnership with the Vice Dean Research and Deputy Heads Research to implement the Faculty and Department research strategy.
  • Briefing events and training for specific schemes, as well as sifts for very competitive schemes.
  • Build stakeholder relationships with funders.
