Biography

Cato Zantman is a Research and Design Strategist in the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London.

She works on the 'Brain Health in Generation 2020' (Gen 2020) research, which aims to investigate the possible long-term impact(s) of Covid-19 on childhood development. Within this research, she works on the development of a parent-facing digital app to support the monitoring of early childhood developmental milestones.

The end goal is to have an NHS application, ideally initiated in late pregnancy, that provides parents with the right information at the right time from a trusted source and supports health visiting and clinical services.

Previously, she was a co-lecturer of the course 'Neurodesign: Fostering Human-Nature Empathy through Digital Innovation' for Digital Engineering master students at the Hasso Plattner Institüt in Potsdam. This was a collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Cato holds a MSc in Applied Cognitive Psychology (Utrecht University) and a BSc in Neuroscience (University of Amsterdam).
