Biography
Bronwen Maddox is the Director and Chief Executive of the world-leading policy institute and think tank Chatham House. Prior to this she was Director of the Institute for Government, a leading independent think tank, from 2016 to 2022. From 2010 to 2016 she was Editor and Chief Executive of current affairs magazine Prospect and previously Chief Foreign Commentator, Foreign Editor and US Editor of the Times, supervising its award-winning coverage of September 11 2001. She was also previously at the Financial Times. Before becoming a journalist, she was an investment analyst in the City and a Director of Kleinwort Benson Securities. She has a degree in PPE from St John’s College, Oxford. She is a governor of the Ditchley Foundation, which fosters transatlantic relations, and a non-executive board member of the Law Commission.
