Billy is the Communications and Events Manager for King's Academy, the University's pedagogy centre, dedicated to supporting staff in enhancing the teaching and learning environment. His role will be to manage communications and engagement plans and activities for King's Academy through a variety of channels, as well as leading on the planning and organisation of activities and events. 

Before then, Billy was the communications lead for King’s Climate & Sustainability (KCS), a cross-university drive to rapidly scale our response to the climate emergency through our research, education, operations and action. His role was to develop and oversee the communications strategy for KCS, manage the communications channels, develop a new visual identity for KCS, amplify sustainability stories from across King’s and support the delivery of internal and external events.

Billy joined KCS after a stint in the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, working as Marketing & Communications Officer for the CDT in Smart Medical Imaging. Before his foray into higher education, Billy enjoyed a variety of positions in PR, marketing, events and social media across a range of industries, including entertainment, attractions and hospitality.
