Biography

Professor Arief Anshory Yusuf is a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics in Padjadjaran University, Indonesia. He is also a Senior Researcher and Director Founder of Sustainable Development Goals Center of Universitas Padjadjaran.

He is well-known for his expertise in economy-wide modeling and consulted for various international organisations, such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB),  United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He has also advised various Indonesian government agencies.

Currently, he is President of Indonesian Regional Science Association; a member of the Indonesian Young Academy of Science; a Visiting Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy, National University; and serves on the editorial board of the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies.

He received his bachelor's degree in economics from Padjadjaran University, a MSc from University College London (UCL), and a PhD from the Australian National University.

Arief's work mainly focuses on development-related topics such as poverty, inequality and natural resource management.
