Biography

Dr Anna Jones is module lead for the Masters in Clinical Education programme and has been faculty at King’s College London since 2017. Prior to this, she was Director of the Centre for Research in Lifelong Learning at Glasgow Caledonian University and before this at the University of Melbourne. Anna holds a PhD in Education and a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne.

Anna’s research focus is learning in the health professions, and she has a particular interest in faculty development and disciplinary cultures. Her work focuses on the ways in which learning and teaching are cultural and contextual. In particular, she considers how an understanding of disciplinary and professional culture can help train and develop faculty within healthcare. Her research has been funded by the Carnegie Trust, the Society for Research into Higher Education, Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Trust, Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.
