Biography
Ann-Marie Murtagh is the Kings Health Partners Clinical Trials Officer (KHP CTO) Director and also holds the Research & Development Director position at Kings College Hospital (KCH).
In the KHP CTO Director role, they lead a team of 50 staff to manage the delivery, set up and contracting of commercial trials across King's College London (KCL) and the three KHP Partner Trusts, as well as delivering the sponsor responsibilities for the set up and monitoring of academic drug trials sponsored by KCL, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, KCH or South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM).
Ann-Marie has worked across the Kings Health Partners organisations since 2010 in several research leadership positions - including Chief Operating Officer for the South London Research Network, Director of Research (Operations) Guy's and St Thomas', R&D Director KCH and KHP CTO Director (KCL).
Prior roles include set up and management of the South East Stroke Research Network at St George's Hospital and a long clinical nursing career – including Coronary Care Unit Sister and Cardiology Research Sister roles (St George's).
Ann-Marie holds an MSc in Health Sciences from St. George’s University, London, a BSc(hons) in Health Studies from the University of Kingston, current Registered Nurse (RN) status and has completed the NIHR Senior Leadership Ashridge programme.
