Biography

Dr Angela Kehagia MD PhD is a neuroscientist and clinician. She serves as Deputy Director at KiTEC, Senior Health Technology Analyst and Clinical Expert. Angie leads on evidence generation drawing on prospective and retrospective RWE as well as RCTs, feasibility and early value assessments, generates insights through KOL engagement and offers strategic HTA guidance on medtech including AI. Her interests include patient reported outcome measures, surrogate endpoints and DHTs. She read Experimental Psychology at Oxford, completed her PhD in neuroscience at Cambridge as a Gates Foundation Scholar, and later went on to complete her medical training at Barts and The London as a Foulkes Fellow. She is known primarily for her work on cognitive impairment and dementia in Parkinson’s disease, and brings more than 15yrs of clinical research in clinical outcomes and biomarker development. As an experienced teacher and award winning scientific writer with over 2300 citations, she has taught and presented to audiences ranging from biomedical scientists to NHS healthcare professionals, PPI groups, law faculty and disaster relief workers. Angie has held numerous research posts including a Sir Isaac Newton fellowship at Trinity College, Cambridge, fellowships at the University of St Andrews and the University of British Columbia, Canada, and a Lectureship at the Dept of Neuroimaging at King’s College London.
