Biography

Andi Buanasari is a lecturer at a public university in Indonesia, where she brings a focused expertise in mental health nursing to her teaching, research, and community service. Her academic career is dedicated to advancing mental health care practices, particularly in clinical and community settings. She has authored several publications using qualitative approaches to explore complex mental health issues. She has also participated in a Ministry of Health project in Indonesia aimed at improving mental health services in primary health care centers in North Sulawesi.

Currently pursuing her PhD at King’s College London, her research focuses on developing a culturally adapted family intervention for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Her study emphasizes a collaborative, co-design approach, engaging families to create meaningful support structures that resonate with Indonesian cultural values and practices.
