Biography
Amira Mills has a BA in Arabic and French Literature and an MA in Linguistics and Phonetics from Ain Shams University, Egypt. She also has a Certificate in Translation. Amira has extensive experience of teaching Arabic and designing Arabic courses for UK Universities. She is an external examiner at Aston and Huddersfield Universities. She has given presentations at several conferences and events in the UK and abroad. As Deputy Team Leader for Arabic, she is responsible for managing the team as well as coordinating Arabic courses offered on all King's Language Centre programmes. Her interest lies in developing courses at advanced level and in intercultural studies. Amira was nominated for an ‘Excellence in Teaching Award’ in 2017 and 2018.
