Abinaya is interested in novel methodologies and their usefulness in programme implementation research, specifically the realist methodology. She is currently completing a PhD in Epidemiology and Population Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Her PhD thesis used the realist approach to explore how mHealth interventions implemented in LMICs effectively target postpartum family planning knowledge and awareness. Prior to King's, Abinaya was working as a Research Assistant at the Rapid Research, Evaluation, and Appraisal Lab based at University College London.
