Abdul Jalil has a BA in Language and Literature and an MA in Human Science and Teaching from the College of Arts in Iraq. After moving to the UK, he completed an MA in Linguistics at University College London. He has taught Arabic at King’s College London since 2005. Abdul-Jalil is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching Arabic as a foreign language. He uses a communicative approach in the classroom and focuses on learners’ needs to foster an effective learning environment. He is interested in how Arabic is taught and learnt as a foreign language, he is also interested in applied linguistics and translation.
