Marking World Social Work Day in Wokingham
Unit Director celebrated the contribution of social workers in Berkshire
On World Social Work Day yesterday Unit Director Jill Manthorpe helped social workers in Wokingham celebrate the profession with a presentation drawing on Unit research on social work in a 'living with Covid world'. The online event was attended by 35 social workers and included other presentations from Dr David N Jones who is Chair of the Social Work History Network, and a service user account of how the support of Wokingham's social work team had been transformational.
