Waterloo Gym has also reopened to all King’s students and staff members after with the opening hours of 8 am – 8 pm Monday to Friday.

The gym at Waterloo has state of the art equipment and studio space located on both floors. Members can access free personalised training programmes and induction sessions conducted by our experienced team of Health & Fitness coaches.

The new sport & wellness clinic located on the upper floor of Waterloo gym will offer free physiotherapy support to all at King’s.

The clinic is a collaboration with the King’s Physiotherapy department, who have been long time collaborators since the beginning of lockdown.

We're delighted to have been able to develop a new King's Sport & Wellness Clinic at our Waterloo Gym, which we hope will continue to enable us to support the Education Strategy of the University, whilst cementing ties with key academic areas across the institution to further the educational experience of our students. Over the course of this year, we will be supporting over 30 students from Physiotherapy through service development placements, whilst aiming to bring other internal stakeholders into our spaces in order to really bring co-curricular learning opportunities directly to our students through Sport & Physical Activity.

Zak Evans, Business and Operations Manager - King's Sport

The clinic will be open every Tuesday from 11 am – 7 pm. You can book in for a personalised physiotherapy consultation one week in advance and is completely free.

The inception of the new Sports and Wellness clinic presents a unique learning opportunity for Kings Physiotherapy students. Driven by a passion for innovation from the Kings Sport team, complimented by the Physiotherapy team's operational knowledge this new clinic will allow our students to work alongside expert clinicians whilst managing elite athletes. We are extremely proud that this clinic is being operated as a not for profit and that members of the Kings community can access high quality care whilst simultaneously supporting our students development.

Waterloo gym also continues to proudly be the hub for the Active Wellness Scheme, a free programme that aims to help anyone within the King’s Community who has low physical or mental wellbeing through the use of physical activity and holistic wellness support.
