Rushanara Ali MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Homelessness and Democracy), welcomed nearly 1,000 attendees across two Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) online events promoting Working across housing, social care and safeguarding for people experiencing long term rough sleeping on 14 and 19 November 2024. The Unit was pleased to share research evidence from its recent study on Strengthening adult safeguarding responses to homelessness and self-neglect at these events focusing on strengthening connections between rough sleeping and adult social care across England. The events are an important step in the Government development of long-term solutions to homelessness and rough sleeping.
