Emma Menzies-Gow

We are delighted to announce that Emma Menzies-Gow has been appointed as Associate Dean (Postgraduate Taught Studies).

As Associate Dean (Postgraduate Taught Studies), Emma will play a strategic role in coordinating the development and delivery of postgraduate taught programmes in the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care (NMPC).

Emma will work closely with Mary Malone, Vice Dean Education, and with individual programme leads, to develop and deliver our Postgraduate Taught (PGT) programmes focusing on supporting enhanced student satisfaction, educational governance and on ensuring that our programmes meet everchanging workforce needs.

Emma is a registered nurse and senior lecturer in adult nursing in NMPC. After graduating from King’s College London, Emma specialised in cardiovascular nursing. Since moving into higher education, she has focused on leading modules in cardiac care and has published educational materials to support pre-registration and post-qualifying education in this field. She is a member of the British Association for Nursing in Cardiovascular Care and the ESC Association of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (ACNAP).

Emma has focused on workforce development throughout her career in Higher Education, most recently leading post-qualifying provision for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals at the University of Brighton. In March 2024, Emma joined King’s and has been leading the team delivering the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme.

I am delighted to have been offered the chance to work with the Vice Dean Education in leading our postgraduate taught programmes and workforce development provision within NMPC at King’s. This is a really exciting opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the education and research departments to deliver and develop contemporary curricula to meet the workforce development needs of healthcare professionals working in the UK and internationally.
