King's Volunteering Fairs connects hundreds of students with community partners to make a difference
Nearly 500 students and staff from King’s College London attended King’s annual volunteering fairs, connecting with organisations dedicated to creating positive change in local, national and global communities.

Held over two days, the event featured 28 community partners, representing a wide range of causes—from tackling homelessness to promoting environmental sustainability. Among the organisations were St Joseph’s Hospice, Refugee Education UK, The Felix Project, Housing Justice, and the Royal Ballet and Opera. They shared valuable insights into their work, highlighting how King’s students can make a significant impact while gaining valuable skills and experience.
Jasmin, a King’s Volunteering Ambassador, said she was proud to see so many important causes represented at this year’s fairs.
For the first time, there was also a dedicated volunteering fair at Guy’s Campus, offering students within King’s health faculties the opportunity to work with health-related charities. This expansion ensured that students across disciplines could find opportunities that aligned with their studies and personal interests.
Hussain, a Sustainability Engagement Ambassador and student at King’s, emphasised the importance of the fairs for students who want to make a difference but are unsure how to get involved.
There are lots of students at King’s with passions, but many don’t know where to go or how to contribute. That’s why these events are so important. They allow us to connect with one another, helping us grow both individually and as a King’s community.

Luisa, another King’s Volunteering Ambassador, shared her experience volunteering with Climate Ed, a charity that educates children about climate change. Since connecting with the charity through the King’s Volunteering Team, she has led workshops on climate action in primary schools, enhancing her CV and gaining valuable experience.
“It’s been incredibly fun and empowering to work with children and share my passion for the environment. I’ve taught over 100 students so far, and I’m so glad King’s Volunteering brought me to Climate Ed.”
