King's Careers & Employability today welcomed Amazon's Global University Talent Acquisition leadership to a roundtable offsite at King's College London to discuss topics including graduate recruitment, changing assessment and technology and strengthening university partnerships.

Professor 'Funmi Olonisakin, Vice President (International, Engagement & Service) welcomed the delegation to King's, sharing insights into our Vision 2029 themes and the work of our strategic priorities, including climate & sustainability, technology and AI and student and career wellbeing.

Led by Jimmy Serrano, Global Director and Head of University Recruiting, the delegation met senior leaders from faculty and participated in a discussion led by Andrew Wright, Associate Director (Employer Engagement & Work-based Learning).

Discussing trends in UK and global student aspiration, hiring and brand alongside creating inclusive workforces, sustainability and ESG and the role of artificial intelligence in recruiting graduates, King's was able to showcase its research into these areas, and the practical ways in which King's Careers & Employability is helping prepare our students for the future of work.

The morning also kickstarted a deepening of ties between Amazon and King's Employer Engagement function which we look forward to growing through participation in the classroom and through various challenges, events and opportunities in the years ahead.

It's been a genuine priviledge to host Jimmy and his Global University Talent Acquisition leaders at King's as part of their annual offsite - King's is passionate about our connections to employers around the world, developing a richness of labour market insight that supports our student success and employability focus. It's clear Amazon is genuinely interested in the future of its global workforce and in its partnerships with universities across the world who are educating and developing that talent - we're delighted to be strengthening our own work with them in the months ahead in and around the curriculum.
