The QS World University Rankings

Having ranked 9th in 2022 and 2023, and 5th last year, this step up to 4th reflects the strength of our research and education programmes, and our collective effort in ensuring we continue to be the leading University for dentistry in the UK.

The QS World University Rankings by subject is an extensive overview of international higher education performance, by global higher education analysts Quacquarelli Symounds (QS). The data provides students, policymakers, academic administrators, faculty, and employers with insight into our institutional performance. Their methodology comprises an overall score and four key indicators: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations Per Paper and H-Index (the average productivity/impact per scholar). More information about the rankings can be found here: https://www.topuniversities.com/university-subject-rankings/dentistry

While these rankings are limited to our research in the field of dentistry, we must also remember that our faculty expertise extends further and also includes oral and craniofacial sciences.

Said Professor Michael Escudier, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences: "A massive thank you to all staff and students for their continued dedication to the faculty."
