The International Longevity Centre UK launched its new report today on how sectors such as retail, leisure, hospitality, transport and financial services could all provide a more inclusive environment for people with dementia. Jo Moriarty of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce at King's, was a member of the Advisory Group for this project. She said, 'In social care, we often only think about dementia and money in terms of lasting power of attorney or safeguarding. This report offers important messages about how people with dementia and retail and leisure organisations can come together to create safer but inclusive environments for people with dementia and their families.'
