The summer school will take place from 30 June to 3 July 2025 at King’s and is co-organised by the King’s Digital Lab, Cambridge Digital Humanities, and Edinburgh Centre for Data, Culture & Society, in collaboration with the DISKAH project. Speakers and trainers from the Department of Digital Humanities, King's Digital Lab and e-Research will join those from other institutions around the UK. Participants will engage with expert-led presentations, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, covering topics such as high-performance computing, the software development life cycle, and responsible digital research practices.

I'm excited to bring together students, researchers and technical professionals in digital humanities for a week of collaborating, networking and learning together. It's so rewarding to see where people go next!

Mary Chester-Kadwell, Summer School Co-organiser

Now in its latest edition, the programme continues to attract postgraduate students, academic researchers, and professionals eager to deepen their understanding of digital research tools and methodologies.

I particularly liked the immersed environment to collaborate with team members and speak out freely to discuss with lecturers.

The diversity of participants and lecturers was my favourite part.

In addition to the core programme, an optional workshop, "Building your digital research skills with Programming Historian", will be held on 4 July. This session will be open to a limited number of Faculty colleagues who are not taking part in the summer school itself, offering further opportunities for engagement.
