Careers event offers key insights for students

Insights into the world of technology, consulting and finance were on offer at a careers event hosted by the School of Politics and Economics.

From Campus to Corporate saw a panel of special guests offer their advice and guidance to students from across the school on a range of topics, including how to forge a career path and how to get a foot in the door.

The panel took place on 14 November and featured; Ergin Hoda, senior associate at JP Morgan; Souriyya Iqbal, client development manager for The Prada Group; Himmat Bains, head of product, desktop apps at Express VPN; and Sophia Pegden, technology risk consultant at EY.

Dr Amanda Jones, from King’s Business School, acted as chair of the panel.

The event was organised Karishma Kaur and Anaya Angal, two undergraduate students from the School of Politics and Economics.

Tamanna Baksh, senior student engagement officer, said: “We were incredibly lucky to host an inspiring panel of professionals with diverse experiences, who generously shared their career journeys and unique insights into the business world.

“A special ‘thank you’ to our amazing panellists, moderator and event organisers for making this event a massive success.”
