New Voices in Global Cultures

New Voices in Global Cultures showcases research by students and staff on the MA in Global Cultures and articles relating to the themes of the Global Cultures Institute.

The MA in Global Cultures explores how global cultures differ, interrelate, and coexist in today’s increasingly diverse and interconnected world, and teaches the key skills for communicating effectively across different cultural backgrounds.

The course has three elements:

  • Concepts – cultural identity, translation, language, migration, gender, diversity, and race.
  • Practices – intercultural communication, interdisciplinarity, ethical awareness, equality, diversity and inclusion, creative leadership, the fragmentation of knowledge.
  • Research – designing, developing and producing an independent capstone project.
