Psychology at King’s is studied at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), Europe’s largest centre for research and education in psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience. 

IoPPN students are taught by world leading researchers and clinicians. They benefit from world-class research and study facilities, access to diverse clinical populations and vast datasets, and clinical placements through King’s partnership with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, which offers the widest range of mental health services in the UK.

Psychology BSc

Our Psychology BSc will introduce you to the psychological sciences and help you to explore their application to a variety of contemporary challenges. The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), who have highlighted areas of particular strength in our course, including the emphasis on research-led teaching, our modules for developing employability skills, and the wide range of discipline-specific opportunities, placements and internships that are available for students at the world-leading IoPPN.

Psychology and Criminology BSc

Our new BPS-acredited Psychology and Criminology BSc will equip you with a strong understanding of theory, research, and practice in core areas of psychology and criminology. You’ll learn how the disciplines interrelate and how they are applied in real-world contexts to challenge issues like crime prevention, mental health and their impacts on the criminal justice system. You’ll benefit from the research and expertise of the IoPPN which is one of the world’s leading centres for interdisciplinary research in psychiatry and psychology, and the Dickson Poon School of Law, which is one of the oldest law schools in England and recognised as one of the best in the world.
