The Skin Inflammation Genetics Group is led by Professor of Immunogenomics Francesca Capon.
Our main research interests are:
- The genetic and immune basis of inflammatory skin disorders
- The role of interleukin-36 in inflammation and cancer
We combine omics approaches (whole-exome sequencing, single-cell and bulk transcriptomics) with experimental studies (flow-cytometry, in-vitro assays, ex-vivo analyses of patient cells), as we believe that this integrated approach has a unique potential to provide novel insights into inflammatory processes.
