Global Cancer

Cancer is one of the world’s most complex social, economic, political, and clinical threats. Global Cancer at King’s brings works at the invitation of national partners in resource-constrained settings to help build capacity and capability in both service delivery and research. Patient organisations, academic institutions, the World Health Organisation, international NGOs such as City Cancer Challenge, professional organizations such as the African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) and the National Cancer Grid of India work with King’s faculty on some of the most challenging problems for delivering affordable, equitable and high-quality cancer services, systems and research agendas.

Global cancer at King’s brings together the strengths of three faculties; Life Sciences & Medicine (Institute of Cancer Policy), Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (Cicely Saunders Centre), and Social Science & Public Policy (Global Health & Social Medicine). We have a wide ranging and vibrant array of global research programs across the world. We also provide policy support and advice as WHO and World Bank collaborating centres and advisors.

The groups listed below are topic based with many working in the UK as well as globally. We also provide some examples of global projects but you may find more listed on the group pages.
Some links will take you to external sites where King's is one of the project partners.
