Will I need to go through a DBS check?
At King’s, we are committed to fair and inclusive hiring practices. We evaluate criminal records only when they are relevant to the job you're applying for, and having a record does not automatically disqualify you from employment. The specific requirements of the role and the details of the offence are carefully considered in our decision-making process.
For positions involving clinical work or contact with children and other vulnerable groups, candidates must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This requirement will be clearly stated in the job advertisement. If you possess a valid DBS certificate issued within the last three years, a new check is not necessary before starting your role. Once employed, we will update your DBS clearance every three years.
Please note, that certain roles are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 due to the nature of the work with vulnerable groups, as specified by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975.

Our system does not have this functionality, but we advise you to keep an eye on our career site for any similar roles in the future.
